DJ LINK’s music is severely Influenced by old computer and arcade game music and 70's Dub Reggae (KING TUBBY, LEE SCRATCH PERRY, KEITH HUDSON, THE SCIENTIST) as well as the likes of DJ SHADOW, HERBALISER, DJ KRUSH, COLDCUT, BRIAN ENO, FUNKI PORCINI, DJ FOOD, THE ORB, TRICKY, MASSIVE ATTACK, MAD PROFFESSER, PORTISHEAD, BJORK, NIGHTMARES ON WAX, RONI SIZE, PESHEY, LEFTFIELD, CHEMICAL BROTHERS, bands like THE CURE and JOY DIVISION as well as a selection of eighties electronic pop including THE PET SHOP BOYS and NEW ORDER The debut Album- Exploration of a Disjointed Reality This debut album is an introduction to music inspired by a childhood lost in the bright lights and chaotic sounds of many a seafront amusement arcade as well as a life long love of kicking drums and thumping bass. The opportunities of a resettlement to Brighton, coupled with the unexpected bliss associated with a café-lifestyle, much more sunshine and the smell of the sea - spawned the creativity that emerged as powerful as it was sudden. Through such obstacles as money to live, a roof over his head and finding the lighter - DJ Link has fought (and conquered) and passed into an interlude between jobs that has leant its time solely to the creation of this album. With autumn soon to arrive and the sight of clouds on the horizon, the need for cash and the prospect of a complete meltdown of free time – the deal has been dealt and the date for the next album is (as he would say) out of my hands.
